School‑Based Pediatric Dentist
Location: Pulaski & Montgomery County Schools, VA (Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Dublin, Pulaski).
Compensation: $200,000 – $230,000.
Schedule: 4‑day workweek (Mon–Thurs), 32–40 hours per week. Travel between school sites.
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive dental care to pediatric patients and select adults.
Perform exams, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
Deliver preventive care (sealants, fluoride, education).
Treat acute and chronic dental conditions (restorations, extractions, minor procedures).
Refer patients for specialty care when needed.
Educate patients and families on oral health.
Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and care teams.
Participate in an integrated care model, including medical and behavioral health referrals.
Travel between nearby school sites as required.
Qualifications
DDS or DMD from an accredited program.
Active Virginia dental license (or ability to obtain).
DEA registration.
Strong communication skills with patients, families, and staff.
Ability to work independently in a school‑based setting.
Passion for working with pediatric and underserved populations.
