Chief Dietitian - Full Time
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice are followed, and make recommendations to appropriate clinical personnel.
Confer with Medical and Nursing Staff regarding patient’s nutritional status and attend related patient care conferences.
Responsible for nutritional assessment, services and discharge planning.
Assist in developing and implementing the Culinary & Nutritional Department CQI activities.
Provide nutritional counseling and ongoing evaluations.
Responsible for educational sessions regarding diets and eating habits.
Assist with overall supervision of Culinary Department clinical personnel; includes orientation, training and evaluating performance.
Demonstrate geriatric and rehabilitation knowledge and skills to patient care.
Prerequisites
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutritional Sciences.
Maintain a Massachusetts Dietitian License.
Maintain registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
At least 2 years of related administrative and clinical experience in a health care facility.Geriatric and Rehabilitation experience preferred.
Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
