Responsibilities
Assist the surgical team in the preparation of procedures in the operating room
Create and maintain a sterile field; retract and pass instruments, supplies, and medications to surgeons during cases
Perform a variety of technical tasks, including the maintenance of supplies and equipment
Contribute to intraoperative patient care as part of the operating room services
Support departments related to surgical services, which may include perfusion services and inpatient/outpatient care, while not providing PACU, anesthesia, pre-op holding, or central sterile functions
Adhere to sterile technique, safety protocols, and perioperative best practices
Requirements
Ability to work in an operating room environment
Knowledge of sterile field maintenance and aseptic technique
Ability to assist with instrument handling, passing supplies, and supporting the surgical team during procedures
Strong teamwork and communication skills to support intraoperative care
Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and adapt to a rotating schedule as needed
