Job Summary
Thyssenkrupp Materials is looking for a Quality Engineer to lead, develop, train, and manage the quality team. The candidate will work closely with multiple departments to drive quality and continuous improvement projects in manufacturing, facility and safety areas.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce risk and standardize quality.

Analyze production processes and provide management with reports and statistics.

Ensure robustness of the quality system for operations.

Monitor and report key quality objectives.

Identify priority opportunities and influence multiple departments to implement improvements.

Define requirements and oversee implementation of continuous improvement related information.

Audit processes for new and existing products to assure customer satisfaction.

Facilitate audits for customers, internal requirements, and registrar.

Maintain and establish procedures as per organizational needs.

Coordinate external supplier product issues.

Respond to customer complaints and manage quality alerts.

Schedule internal and external audits; follow up on non-conformances.

Support NCR and Master CAR processes including training.

Investigate root causes of defects; implement corrective/preventive actions and produce 8D reports.

Document and maintain quality procedures per ISO 9001 and customer requirements, performing internal audits.

Coordinate release of new contract/product or changes to current designs.

Prepare quality reports on KPIs and present to senior management.

Work with Quality Systems Supervisor to maintain site QMS.

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety program, including Emergency Response.

Excellent technical communication with management and employees.

Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

One or more years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

1-3 years of experience in an engineering position and/or quality role.

Ability to implement process flows.

Proven leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and work in a team.

Good analysis and problem-solving skills.

Sense of initiative, ability to work independently, organizational skills and attention to detail.

Knowledge of quality systems and related standards.

Preferred Requirements

Experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication.

Experience writing process flows.

Hands‑on mechanical aptitude.

Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.

Knowledge of Lean Methodologies.
