Faulkner University is continually seeking qualified candidates to participate in the
PRN Candidate Pool
for on-ground opportunities at our Montgomery campus. Individuals must have a desire to provide Speech Language Pathology (SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), or Physical Therapy (PT) to patients/clients in the on-campus Faulkner Clinic while simultaneously providing clinical education and oversite to students as part of the clinical education program. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
Positions will be available on an as-needed basis. Candidates will be required to provide documentation of professional liability insurance, a physical examination completed within the last 12 months and pass drug, PPD and Hepatitis B screenings.
Summary of Duties:
Evaluate and treat clients (pediatric through adults) in the on-campus clinic
Engage as a clinical instructor for current students (SLP, OT or PT)
Qualifications for SLP:
Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Alabama or eligible for licensure in Alabama required
Minimum of a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from a CAA accredited institution required
Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) required
Minimum of 3 years demonstrated expertise in Speech Language Pathology required
Experience in clinical education of SLP students preferred
Qualifications for OT:
Occupational Therapist with NBCOT certification required
Licensed in Alabama or eligible for licensure in Alabama within 90 days of hire required
Master's degree or higher, awarded by an institution accredited by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body required
Minimum of 2 years experience in occupation-centered Occupational Therapy required
Qualifications for PT:
Licensed Physical Therapist in Alabama or eligible for licensure in Alabama required
Minimum of a master's degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE accredited institution required
Minimum of 3 years demonstrated expertise in physical therapy required
Experience in clinical education of DPT students preferred
