Description
Lockheed Martin Space will be hosting an invitation-only in-person hiring event in King of Prussia, PA in June. Manufacturing Engineer candidates must have a Secret clearance or above, or the ability to obtain a Secret government security clearance. (U.S. citizenship required.)

Key Duties

Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for mechanical assemblies and electromechanical assemblies.

Provide producibility inputs and feedback to design engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements.

Write production plans, inspect and assess defective hardware, and optimize production flows to meet program deliverables.

Communicate with shop floor personnel to implement process improvements and gain efficiencies.

Support Production Control in prioritizing work in process to meet program delivery schedules.

Analyze shop performance, and support Quality Assurance in root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related defects.

Support development and production of weapon systems.

Travel may be required.

Weekend or off-hour support may be required to support production schedules.

Basic Qualifications

Mechanical assembly, vehicle assembly, and/or electro-mechanical assembly experience.

Experience writing manufacturing work instructions.

Experience reading engineering drawings and/or analyzing design documentation.

Manufacturing and/or Production Operations experience.

Desired Skills

Experience operating in an aerospace or defense production environment.

Experience with high-mix production operations.

Experience developing rework instructions, repair directions, or flow alteration records.

Experience with reentry vehicle or missile assembly processes, methodologies, and equipment.

Active security clearance at the Secret level, or higher, is desired.

Experience in SAP is a plus.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office.

Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing techniques and principles as well as work measurements and labor standards.

Work Location
Onsite full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees. Schedules range from a standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.
