Electrical Construction Assistant Project Manager
Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Description
The position of Assistant Project Manager for our National Technical Systems Group is responsible for providing a high level of coordination support in a variety of areas, partnering with construction project management and field staff.
Responsibilities
Assist with managing all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and project meeting minutes.
Assist with supervision and directing project activities as assigned by the PM including planning, coordinating, resolving problem areas, and ensuring compliance with company/project policies, procedures and standards.
Assist with maintaining change order, submittal and document control logs within Viewpoint.
Assist PM and PX with interactions with subcontractors to obtain correct documentation and drawings for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
Responsible for creating the Job Information Sheets and establishing job files under the direction of the PM or PX.
Assume temporary total project supervision responsibilities in the absence of the PM.
Read and have a basic understanding of electrical drawings and specifications.
Assist with establishing workflow breakdowns in conjunction with Field Supervisors and Project Managers.
Ensure project billings are accurate and submitted timely, monthly, and per contract documents.
Assist with writing and submission of quality RFIs.
Help ensure timely payment to subcontractors and vendors.
Review and update status of construction schedules as requested by PM or PX.
Assist Project Management team with setup of project budgets in Viewpoint in conjunction with Field Supervisor.
Collaborate with Payroll department to ensure accurate payroll information is submitted.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid experience or coursework in construction project coordination.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency with Viewpoint (or similar project management software).
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
Understanding of project billing processes and vendor payment procedures.
Detail‑oriented with ability to maintain accurate records and logs.
Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, field supervisors, subcontractors, and payroll staff.
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Flexibility to take temporary total project supervision responsibilities.
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
Experience within the construction industry, especially electrical projects, is an asset.
Other relevant experience or certifications considered beneficial.
Benefits
Salary range for this position is $80,000–$125,000 annually.
Opportunity for a discretionary year‑end bonus.
401(k) with a 40% employer match (up to federal limit).
