
Geotechnical Engineer – Geohazards

Join the Team That Builds Communities. We are looking for a dedicated Geotechnical Engineer with a geohazards focus to join our Infrastructure and Development team in Fort Collins, CO. This role requires about 20% travel.
Key Responsibilities
Perform geotechnical field investigations
Installing and monitoring instrumentation
Civil and Geotechnical design and layout
Construction management activities
Conduct investigations and damage assessment to determine the cause of structure failure.
Assess slope stability and develop stabilization remediation plans.
Implement techniques such as compaction grouting, chemical grouting, and underpinning to stabilize soil.
Minimum Requirements
B.S. in Civil Engineering
M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering
F.E. required: ability to obtain a P.E. license within 4 years of graduation
0-4 years of relevant experience in infrastructure design and geohazard analysis
Travel 20% of time required

Infiltration/Seepage analyses

Geo-civil analyses and design
Experience with slope stability software (SlopeW), seismic analysis, and deep foundation design
Monitoring heavy civil construction projects
Performing and reviewing engineering calculations

Benefits
The wage range for this position is $42.00 - $50.00 per hour, depending on experience.
