JR-40107144As a Quality Engineer Sr, this position supports manufacturing process and product quality by applying Goodyear standards, procedures, and quality engineering tools to solve problems in a production environment. The role leverages a strong understanding of internal and external customer and supplier requirements to improve customer satisfaction, process capability, and overall product performance. Serving as a technical content expert, the incumbent coaches and guides others in applying effective technical solutions, Plant Optimization (PO) methods, and data-driven problem-solving approaches. The position also leads product and process improvements, anticipates and mitigates risks, and ensures solutions meet defined business and quality objectives.**Why This Role Matters*** Ensures consistent product quality and process control within manufacturing operations through disciplined application of quality standards and tools.* Drives plant performance by leading audits, closing non‐conformances, and improving key quality indicators such as scrap and process capability.* Strengthens the quality culture by coaching shop‐floor teams, leading quality monitors, and promoting data‐driven problem solving.**What You Will Do*** Ensures robust new tire launches by aligning with NPI development, design-for-uniformity principles, and process concepts that enable consistent, high-quality tire releases.* Safeguards product and process quality by ensuring GQMTS and QAI alignment with local procedures, leading LPAs, FMEA, and Control Plan execution while reinforcing adherence to quality fundamentals.* Drives a strong quality culture by leading plant-wide quality initiatives, empowering associates through training, and promoting “speak up” behaviors when standards or processes are at risk.* Improves operational performance by leading waste-reduction and process-control initiatives, leveraging PO pillars and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen process capability across the plant.**What We’re Looking For*** Bachelor’s degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math.* 3.5 or more years’ experience required.* Desired knowledge of ISO 9001.
