Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience and eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressively responsible banking or related agricultural lending experience. Experience should include a broad understanding of lending regulations, debt structuring, credit operations, and credit practices. Excellent interpersonal, public relations and communication skills are required.
Essential Functions
Develops and manages capital markets relationships, serving as a key liaison for participation, origination, and portfolio activities for both buying and selling capital market transactions to the Farm Credit System, Commercial Banks, and Community Banks. Builds strong customer and industry relationships, evaluates and structures complex credit opportunities, assists Corporate Agribusiness Relationship Manager to negotiate transaction terms, and ensures compliance with Association standards, policies, and regulations. Monitors portfolio performance, loan quality, and covenant compliance; provides credit guidance and reporting to leadership and supports ongoing staff development as a credit resource and mentor.
At the discretion of Alabama Ag Credit, position may be offered at alternate titles and other business experience may be considered relevant.
