Environmental Permitting and Compliance Engineer (EIT Preferred)

What you'll do:
• Prepare environmental permit applications and compliance programs across multiple media including air, wastewater, stormwater, waste, and spill prevention
• Support air quality permitting and compliance efforts, including air dispersion modeling using AERMOD or similar tools
• Assist with environmental site assessments, compliance audits, and regulatory reporting
• Develop and prepare technical reports, compliance plans, and stormwater inspection documentation
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing technical insight and regulatory guidance
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery and regulatory compliance
• Visit project sites to support compliance evaluations and data collection
• Manage project tasks to meet scope, schedule, and quality objectives
What you'll bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Biosystems Engineering
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months strongly preferred (PE path encouraged)
• 2–5 years of experience working with industrial and/or municipal clients
• Experience preparing permit applications and compliance programs across multiple environmental media
• Familiarity with air quality permitting and modeling software such as AERMOD preferred
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating project efforts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and client interaction
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access)
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and appropriately prioritize workflow
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Client service–oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to visit project sites and interact with clients and stakeholders

On-site: Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
