Linux Systems Engineer - Member Engineering Staff

Job Overview
Senior Systems Administrator – Test Site Engineering (Moorestown, NJ). The role supports end‑user computer system problems and improves performance on Linux RedHat and RedHawk platforms, along with COTS software evaluation and installation.
Responsibilities
Hardware and software installation / de-installation (COTS and custom software).
Configuration management, build automation and release engineering.
Fault detection and fault isolation.
Volume backups, system monitoring and clean up.
User support and working knowledge of internal/external network interfaces.
Qualifications
Ability to write scripts in at least one administrative language.
Experience with RedHat Linux, supporting Linux users on a LAN, including configuration management, build automation and release engineering.
Experience with Rational ClearCase tools supporting the software configuration management (SCM) processes.
Excellent customer and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail, multi‑tasking capability.
Familiarity with all facets of system administration: tactical environments, network operations, user account creation and management, security OS patching, security auditing.
Knowledge of RMF Compliance and familiarity with DISA STIGs helpful.
Active Security+ certification mandatory.
In‑depth knowledge of both Windows and Linux.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and a minimum of 6 years of professional‑level experience.
Configuration management and change management experience using tools such as Git, ClearCase, and ClearQuest.
Linux operating system knowledge and ability to solve end‑user computer system problems, while working independently in a lab environment.
Must be able to obtain Security+ certification.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level; requires U.S. citizenship.
Desired Skills
Experience with Rational ClearCase tools supporting the SCM processes.
Knowledge of data communications and networking.
Security+ certification.
Experience as an Administration/Systems Engineer in Linux and Microsoft Windows.
Experience with Linux RedHat & RedHawk operating systems.
Experience creating bash and perl scripts to define environments within ClearCase.
Experience with Trellix ESS, Agile process, Core Digital Transformation.
Customer/user representative experience.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
