We are seeking a skilled Kubernetes Administrator and Application Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience building cloud‑native Kubernetes applications and administration of Kubernetes clusters, particularly with RH OpenShift, in bare‑metal environments.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with application development teams to deploy, scale, and manage cloud‑native applications
Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters on bare metal and OpenShift platforms
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cluster performance and reliability
Automate operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (e.g., Ansible, Helm)
Ensure security best practices and compliance standards within the clusters
Qualifications
Requires minimum 5 years job related work experience in excess of degree requirements
Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science or related field (Required)
Or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required
Skills
Proven experience developing and deploying cloud‑native Kubernetes applications
Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation
Linux administration skills (preferred)
Hands‑on experience administering Kubernetes clusters (bare metal and/or public cloud environments)
Hands‑on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (preferred)
Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security within Kubernetes
The base pay range for this role is $65 - $74 per hour. MWResource offers medical, dental and vision coverage through Florida Blue, short‑and long‑term disability coverage, employer paid life insurance, and participation in the MWResource 401K plan for US based consultants.
