About This Role
Crusoe Energy is seeking a Campus Project Controls Manager to support the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects, including complex data center campuses. This role is responsible for ensuring strong financial and cost controls across one or more campuses, partnering closely with construction managers, general contractors, and vendor teams.
The Campus Project Controls Manager plays a hands‑on role in managing budgets, forecasting cash flow, reviewing contractor pay applications, and maintaining disciplined cost and change management processes. This position is ideal for a project controls professional who thrives in fast-paced construction environments and brings strong analytical rigor, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
What you’ll be working on
Manage and accurately report construction budgets and costs for large-scale, complex infrastructure or data center projects
Develop detailed cash flow forecasts, monthly cost reports, and variance analyses to ensure reliable financial controls
Monitor cost and schedule health, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities early and proactively
Lead change management and risk management processes in collaboration with construction managers, general contractors, and vendor teams
Review and manage contractor pay application submissions, ensuring alignment with contract terms, approved scope, and earned value
Ensure compliance across contracts, purchase orders, and invoices, with a strong focus on cost hygiene, audit readiness, and internal controls
Partner with internal stakeholders to provide clear, timely reporting and recommendations to leadership and Crusoe clients
Support consistent project controls practices across the campus to drive transparency, accountability, and predictability
What you’ll bring to the team
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical discipline
7–10 years of experience in Project Controls and Construction Cost Management for large-scale, complex infrastructure or data center projects
Hands‑on experience managing construction budgets for multi‑billion‑dollar projects or campuses
Strong attention to detail with proven ability to produce accurate forecasts, cash flow reports, and financial / Accrual analyses
Experience leading change and risk management in collaboration with construction and contractor teams
Demonstrated capability managing contractor pay application reviews and approvals
Experience ensuring compliance across contracts, purchase orders, and invoices
Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership and clients

Compensation Range
Compensation will be paid in the range of
$155,000 – $218,000 . Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation is determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
