
Senior Business Intelligence Requirements Subject Matter Expert

The Senior Business Intelligence Requirements SME provides expert leadership and technical guidance supporting
Navy ERP operations, NAVSEA business processes, and enterprise modernization initiatives , including the Navy’s transition to
SAP S/4HANA . This role serves as a trusted advisor to government stakeholders by translating mission, financial, logistics, and program management requirements into actionable data products and decision-support solutions leveraging
Advana, Jupiter, and SAP analytics capabilities .
Candidates must meet the following experience qualifications:
A
Bachelor’s degree
and at least
seven (7) years of relevant experience
supporting Navy ERP implementations, sustainment, reporting, or analytics within the Department of the Navy (DON) environment.
Core Responsibilities and Qualifications
Apply advanced knowledge of
Navy ERP (SAP ECC) and SAP S/4HANA business processes , data models, and reporting structures to support
NAVSEA financial, logistics, acquisition, and program management missions .
Support
ERP modernization efforts , including data readiness, reporting migration, analytics alignment, and business intelligence transition activities associated with
SAP S/4HANA .
Gather, analyze, validate, and document complex
business intelligence and reporting requirements
across multiple functional domains and stakeholder groups.
Develop and maintain
technical and functional documentation , including requirements specifications, data definitions, dashboard designs, and data governance artifacts.
Conduct technical reviews, lead working sessions, and deliver
executive-level briefings and technical presentations
to government customers and stakeholders.
Assist in the
analysis, sustainment, and continuous improvement of performance measures , KPIs, and metrics tied to NAVSEA and enterprise objectives.
Design, develop, and enhance
business intelligence dashboards and data visualizations
using
Advana, Jupiter , and SAP analytics tools to enable data-driven decision‑making.
Leverage
Advana and Jupiter
as authoritative platforms for integrating ERP data, authoritative data sources, and external datasets to support enterprise reporting, audit readiness, and operational insights.
Provide guidance on
data quality, data lineage, and data reconciliation
between Navy ERP, downstream systems, and enterprise analytics platforms.
Demonstrate strong
written and verbal communication skills , including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Deliver high-quality
customer service , supporting both internal project teams and external government stakeholders.
Analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and recommend
practical, implementable solutions
within ERP and enterprise analytics environments.
