
CNC Laser/Press Brake Programmer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Laser and Press Brake Programmer to join our Platform Integration Facility team in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on supporting precision sheet metal operations, including troubleshooting, CNC program development, root cause analysis, and process improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide shop floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
Work with quality engineering and manufacturing groups to perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans to reduce/eliminate non-conformances.
Develop CNC programs for cutting and forming of complex aerospace and defense hardware in a variety of materials.
Create complete work packages consisting of CNC programs, operation setup sheets, tool lists, and related documentation for sheet metal technicians.
Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to develop CNC programs and process flows.
Analyze and evaluate manufacturing methods to provide solutions that positively affect cost, operator safety, productivity, and quality.
Continuously improve production processes by implementing Lean initiatives.
Develop technical solutions to complex problems using a data‑driven approach.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field) with a minimum of 4 years experience, or equivalent education and experience in a precision sheet metal, build‑to‑print shop environment.
Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and engineering drawing interpretation.
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), such as Solumina.
Strong understanding of CNC laser cutting and forming processes, tooling, workholding, and process optimization.
Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally in a team environment.
Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a fast‑paced production environment.
Must be a U.S. citizen and possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, a Final Secret clearance or eligibility for a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen initiatives.
Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software for fixture and tool design.
Experience with Trumpf Boost or other CAM software for sheet metal support.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $73,450.00 - $132,775.00.
