Summary
The Clinician Dietician is a key member of a multidisciplinary team within an Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Eating Disorder Program. This role provides specialized nutrition assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, and related conditions. The dietician collaborates closely with physicians, behavioral health clinicians, clinical team (RN's and MA's), and other care providers to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care that supports medical stabilization, nutritional rehabilitation, and long-term recovery. Future plans look to expand hours for the role and potentially embrace other nutritional needs for our pediatric population. The Clinical Dietitian directs and coordinates nutritional care to patients in assigned clinical areas. Responsible for performing nutritional assessments, developing, and implementing care plans, educating patients, and communicating with physicians and health team members.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Nutritional Sciences from an accredited college or university required.
License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Dietitian required. Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration required. Positions in Home Care will require a valid Driver’s License to operate a motor vehicle, with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
Experience: Two years of experience as a Registered Dietitian (RD) conducting nutritional assessments and developing treatment plans for acute care inpatients and/or outpatients preferred.
