JOB PURPOSE:
The Dental Hygienist provides comprehensive preventive and therapeutic dental care to patients, while supporting the dentist in diagnosis, treatment, and patient education. This role includes performing cleanings, administering local anesthetics, providing implant maintenance, assisting with treatment planning, and delivering patient-centered education to promote long-term oral health.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform scaling and prophylaxis
Application of fluoride and related procedures
Provide ongoing maintenance care for implant patients.
Conduct patient consultations and reinforce treatment recommendations
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Deliver post-operative instructions and ensure patient understanding of care
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Education or equivalent
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Proficiency in hygiene procedures, infection control, and patient care protocols
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient education and treatment discussions
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
Commitment to patient-centered care and long-term oral health outcomes
Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to support both patient care and office operations
