Ripple Effect is seeking an experienced Communications Project Manager to shape and execute communication strategies across multiple projects and campaigns. This role is responsible for driving strategic alignment, quality, compliance, and operational excellence across communications efforts while leading cybersecurity awareness initiatives designed to increase public understanding and action on critical cyber issues.
Technical Execution:
Lead the implementation of communication strategies across projects by evaluating feasibility, managing deviations from plans, and communicating key decisions, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
Communication Strategy & Leadership:
Shape enterprise communication strategies across projects, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational and client branding. Deliver high‑impact presentations to clients and senior leadership, translating complex information into actionable insights.
Cybersecurity Awareness Campaigns:
Lead cybersecurity awareness campaigns, overseeing strategic communications planning, outreach, and messaging to increase public awareness, engagement, and action related to cybersecurity initiatives and risks.
Schedule & Timeline Management:
Develop and manage integrated project schedules across communications initiatives. Allocate resources effectively to meet contractual milestones and ensure timely completion of all deliverables and required administrative activities.
Quality Management & Continuous Improvement:
Identify non‑conforming communication outputs, assess impact and significance, and implement corrective actions. Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement through process refinement and staff engagement.
Documentation & Knowledge Management:
Oversee documentation strategies across projects, ensuring all communications deliverables are well‑organized, compliant with contractual standards, and tailored to stakeholder needs.
Business & Client Relations:
Lead client relationships by anticipating needs, aligning communications solutions with client objectives, and supporting business development through proposal input, strategic framing, and solution positioning.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
Minimum of nine (9) years of relevant professional experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or related disciplines; additional relevant education may substitute for experience
At least two years of experience supervising staff or leading teams
Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Fitness Determination
Basic Requirements
Demonstrated experience planning and executing comprehensive communications strategies for IT initiatives across multiple projects or campaigns
Proven experience coordinating and placing media advertising across offline and online channels, including digital, print, broadcast, or paid media platforms
Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams, assigning workloads, setting priorities, and overseeing performance
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience delivering presentations to executive leadership or clients
Experience analyzing campaign performance data and translating insights into actionable recommendations
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity software and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Background supporting federal agencies or highly regulated environments, particularly DHS or national‑security–focused organizations
Advanced project and resource management skills across large, multi‑workstream communications initiatives
Intermediate knowledge of AI tools, including their limitations and risks, and how they can be applied to support project management tasks.
