DYAD Elective Dance Consultant
to lead engaging elective classes for students.
Third Future Schools will provide student elective access through DYAD Electives, a specialized experiential learning model that builds critical thinking, communication, creativity, and other essential 21st‑century skills through hands‑on learning experiences. Students are grouped and participate in elective‑style courses that may include technology, fitness, arts, and other enrichment experiences.
Position Summary
This role is part of the
DYAD
program.
DYAD
means “two in one” and connects classroom learning with community‑based expertise. DYAD bridges the gap between the classroom and community by bringing in individuals with real‑world knowledge and first‑hand experience to provide students with meaningful, hands‑on learning opportunities.
DYAD consultants do more than teach a class. They provide an experience through their expertise, helping students build leadership, confidence, communication, professionalism, and habits of success while preparing them for future goals, career exploration, and real‑world readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Provide engaging, structured, and experience‑based instruction in college and career readiness.
Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach.
Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program.
Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period.
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations.
Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands‑on learning experiences.
Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership.
Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction.
Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real‑world experiences.
Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program.
Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through class showcases, presentations, or other demonstrations of learning.
Qualifications
Skill, knowledge, and first‑hand experience in college and career readiness.
Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting.
Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills.
Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience‑based learning.
Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement.
Compensation
This is an hourly position paid at $30 per hour. No benefits are provided.
