Assistant Teaching Professor, Sport Management (Non‑Tenure Track)
The Department of Kinesiology and Health at Rutgers University invites applications for a non‑tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Teaching Professor rank beginning Fall 2026. This is an academic year appointment with the possibility of renewal through the University’s teaching faculty track. Teaching instructors are expected to demonstrate mastery of relevant subject matter, effective teaching in the classroom, and provide service according to the mission of the Department and Rutgers University.

Responsibilities (Summary)
Teach the courses listed above and provide service to the department, university, and community. Demonstrate excellence in teaching, a record of accomplishments outside the classroom, and service to the Department, University, and Community.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Master’s degree or higher in Sport Management, Statistics/Informatics, Kinesiology or a related field.
Related teaching or professional experience in sport management or related fields.
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and industry partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Sport Management, Kinesiology, or a related field.
3+ years of teaching experience in higher education.
Record of contributions outside the classroom related to sport management.
Record of service to department, school, and field of expertise.
Record of professional development focusing on subject‑specific and/or teaching and learning effectiveness in higher education.
Salary
Range: $82,110 – $90,000
