2026 Summer David C. Driskell Center Internship

Summary

The David C. Driskell Center seeks one undergraduate or early-career graduate student intern for summer 2026. The internship will primarily focus on improving the digital accessibility of The Driskell Center’s Permanent Art Collection through the use of TMS Collections & eMuseum. Preference will be given to applicants from Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Eligibility

Currently enrolled in an accredited Graduate or Undergraduate Program
Recent graduate from an accredited program (within 5 years)
Preferred Qualifications
Strong organizational skills
Writing/Communication skills
Research ability
Interest or experience in non-Western art/art history is a plus
Compensation

The intern will receive a $3,000 stipend, distributed in one installment at the end of the project period. UMD students will receive payment as an award to their student account.
