Job Description Summary
The Clinic Coordinator / OB Navigator (RN) serves as a key operational and clinical support role within the MUSC Health Primary Care and Obstetrics practice. This position is responsible for coordinating patient care workflows, optimizing scheduling processes, supporting providers with patient communication, and ensuring high-quality care delivery for obstetric and primary care populations. This role combines clinical expertise, operational oversight, and data-driven decision-making to improve access, patient outcomes, and overall clinic efficiency—particularly in prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care.

Job Description
Provides direct line management and leadership for all patient care areas. Ensures proper standards are followed for nursing practice and provides interface between the support services and clinical services. Facilitates care delivery system development and operation, including but not limited to staffing and professional delivery of services. Manages daily operations of clinical and clerical employees, including staffing schedules, while maintaining an efficient and professional work atmosphere. Develops and sets goals at the process, job, and interface level to ensure optimal patient care in order to meet overall organizational goals.

Education & Experience
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing. BSN preferred.

Minimum of three years of medical practice/clinical management experience. Other experience may be substituted in lieu of practice/clinical management.

Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
