About the Job
We’re seeking a full‑time Respite Care Provider. The provider will plan, coordinate, and deliver temporary therapeutic respite care in 1:1 or group settings, giving parents and guardians a break from caregiving while ensuring children receive a safe, therapeutic environment. The role requires flexibility for daytime hours, evenings, weekends, and occasional school holidays, with services provided in office and/or community‑based settings.
The position may be based in Spencer, IA; Spirit Lake, IA; or Sheldon, IA.
Salary
$18.50 – $19.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
Associate’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field (required).
Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with behavioral health concerns (required).
Minimum one year of experience working with children (required).
Willingness and ability to submit health history record forms.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation due to regular travel (required).
Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain one (required).
Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field (preferred).
