Job Description – Heavy Equipment Mechanic (2600013M)

Location:
San Antonio, Texas, with travel to various Vulcan Materials South Texas operations
Responsibilities
Promote and prioritize safety throughout the operation in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
Repair, maintain, adjust, and test all mobile equipment to maximize performance and limit downtime.
Inspect mobile equipment to identify and troubleshoot errors; perform necessary repairs.
Handle, install, position, and move parts, materials, and industrial hand tools safely.
Document and maintain accurate service records on a daily and monthly basis.
Assist in operating heavy equipment and vehicles throughout the plant.
Perform general physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Skills and Requirements
Knowledge of best practices for servicing heavy construction equipment.
Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours; ability to work in all weather conditions and tolerate loud noise.
Mechanical skills and knowledge of industrial tools and maintenance.
