LVN / LPN – Contract Opportunity (Texas)
We are hiring experienced and reliable LVNs/LPNs for a 6-month contract in a structured, team-based clinical setting. This role is a strong fit for nurses who value consistency, clear protocols, and the ability to focus on patient care without the unpredictability of acute care environments.
This is a fast-moving opportunity with a streamlined hiring process.
Compensation
Local Pay:
$36/hour
Travel Pay:
$38/hour total
$20/hour taxable
$18/hour non-taxable stipend
Weekly Estimate (Travel):
$1,520 before taxes
Schedule Options
Day Shift:
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (includes one 4-hour shift: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
OR
40 hours guaranteed
No overtime
What You’ll Do
Administer medications via oral, injectable, and other prescribed routes
Perform nursing procedures in accordance with state and facility guidelines
Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly
Document all care accurately in EHR or paper charts
Respond to urgent or emergency situations as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
Collect lab specimens and perform approved screening tests
Educate patients on care plans and health goals
Support patient positioning and comfort during treatments
Maintain supplies and ensure readiness for patient care
Requirements
Active LVN/LPN license in Texas (or compact license)
Current BLS
Valid government‑issued photo ID
Strong documentation and communication skills
Comfortable working in a structured, protocol‑driven environment
Preferred:
Experience in IDD and/or psychiatric settings
Prior experience with EHR systems
