About the Role
As a Real Estate Associate in our New York office, you will serve as a strategic advisor on high-stakes property transactions. You will navigate the intricacies of the real estate lifecycle, managing various components of sophisticated deals both independently and as part of a collaborative team. This role is designed for a practitioner with sharp business instincts who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to engage directly with an elite client base on their most pivotal investments.
Key Responsibilities
Financing Leadership:
Manage and execute lender- and borrower-side mortgage and mezzanine financing transactions.
Transaction Management:
Lead real estate acquisitions and dispositions, ensuring seamless execution from inception to closing.
Joint Venture Structuring:
Advise on and draft complex joint venture deals for a variety of real estate assets and investment vehicles.
Strategic Advisory:
Leverage exceptional business acumen to provide practical legal counsel that aligns with clients' commercial objectives.
Client Engagement:
Interface directly with key stakeholders and clients, serving as a primary point of contact for ongoing transactional components.
Requirements
Experience:
3+ to 7+ years (JD 2017–2023) of dedicated real estate transactional experience within a reputable law firm.
Technical Proficiency:
Proven track record in managing financings, acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures.
Bar Admission:
Must be currently licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practice law in New York.
Academic Background:
Outstanding academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school and excellent professional references.
Skills:
Exceptional analytical, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to balance independent matter management with a team-oriented approach.
