Pediatric Hospitalist opening in Sioux City, IowaLocated on Tri-State border of Iowa, Nebraska, and South DakotaPosition Details:Full-time, permanent positionEmployedEstablished practiceCompetitive compensation and benefits package. Including: signing bonus, relocation, 401K match, CME allowance, and time offPediatric Subspecialty Support:
Pediatric Radiology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Infectious Disease,
support: General Surgery, Orthopedics and many other subspecialties available for consultation12-bed pediatric inpatient unit with brand-new remodelFully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordinationAverage daily census of 5-7 in summer and 7-10 in winter (combination of newborn nursery and inpatient)Round on unassigned newborns in newborn nursery (no NICU or Level 2 nursery responsibilities), circumcisions, ED and direct admissions of pediatric age patients, ED consultation when requestedNo delivery attendance required. High risk deliveries are attended by in house NICU.Tertiary hospitals located 90 miles North and South with visiting subspecialistsAverage 10 shifts per month in 3-4
day increments with balanced weekend and holiday coverageIn-house hours from 7:30 a.m.
