Job Summary
We are searching for a well‑organized purchasing executive to join our growing team. The candidate should be a graduate in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with 8 to 10 years of manufacturing industry experience in purchase and supply chain functions.
As a purchasing executive, you will carry out all tasks allocated by the reporting manager, which will include supplier and purchase order management, follow up on delivery performance, conducting research on potential vendors and suppliers, and updating records.
To be successful, you should be able to multitask and evaluate products and vendors from time to time.
Qualifications
Graduate in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
8-10 years of manufacturing industry experience in procurement and supply chain
Good command of English (written and oral)
Experience with SAP PP and MM Modules
Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, 5S, CAD, and 2D Engineering drawings
Experience in global or cross‑cultural work settings
Awareness of Environment, Health, Safety, and Energy requirements as IMS standards
Manufacturing process knowledge: High Pressure Die Casting, Machining, handling of electrical steel, cable and cable assemblies, electronic parts such as displays and PCBs, sheet metal laser cutting and stamping
Responsibilities and Duties
Commodity management, on‑time material procurement, releasing purchase orders to suppliers, following up with suppliers for order confirmations and material deliveries, and updating SAP and escalations in a timely manner
Monitoring supply chain performance and agreements with suppliers, including communicating order and delivery status to internal teams and customers
Safety stock: monitoring safety stock levels and raising alarms when below defined levels
Handling Engineering Change Notes: studying engineering changes, communicating them to suppliers, monitoring status, and taking corresponding actions
RFQ management: studying new RFQs, sharing them with potential suppliers, obtaining quotations, and providing proposals to the purchase manager
Reducing lead times: identifying potential parts for planned delivery time reduction and defining and monitoring actions toward targets
Handling Capex and revenue purchase orders: releasing PR and PO for tools, fixtures, gauges, etc., and monitoring status
Monthly reporting to management: supporting MIS related activities, including monthly reports, analysis of supplier delivery performance, and 8D reports
Maintaining excellent communication and acting as SPOC for all internal and external parties (reporting manager, planning team, internal customer, vendors, and management)
