Electrician Essential Job Functions
Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical panels and components.
Changes and repairs lights and fixtures throughout the plant.
Replaces sensors/electric eyes and electrical interlocks.
Uses various hand tools as well as electrical and pneumatic tools.
Adheres to all safety requirements including lockout/tagout and wearing required PPE.
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must meet one of the following:
Minimum five years of recent related heavy industrial/maintenance experience OR,
Minimum four-year related apprenticeship certification.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be willing and able to climb ladders, work at heights, in weather elements, and extreme temperatures, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience with AC/DC motors, analog and digital controls, AC inverter drives, solid-state DC drives, instrumentation devices, and programmable controls preferred.
Experience reading electrical schematics preferred.
Experience operating heavy equipment such as a forklift, tractor, crane, and backhoe preferred.
Must have flexibility to work other shifts, weekends, and forced overtime.
Location-Specific Requirements
This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
