Our client is looking for a

Pharmacist In Charge

with experience in

Oncology.

The schedule is Monday-Friday 8a-5p. They are offering a $10,000 sign on bonus, $20,000 in loan repayment, and relocation assistance. The pay range is $75-114/hr.

What you will do:
Performs all the principal duties of a Pharmacist-In-Charge.
Adheres to all Federal and State Laws pertaining to dispensing, filling, of authorized prescription medications and supplies, including but not limited to receiving and verification of prescriptions, selection of medication and filling prescriptions. Dispenses medication, supplies or equipment accurately and efficiently.
Compounds medications accurately and efficiently.
Maintains 100% accuracy in measurements and dose calculations.
Maintains proper documentation and logs for compounding.
Knowledgeable, compliant and adherence to regulations in dispensing control and non-controlled substances, including proper record keeping and documentation.
Provides direction to technical staff and support staff.
Guides, directs, and trains pharmacy technicians and clerks.
Assumes responsibility for quantity and quality of their work.
Assists Employee Pharmacy customers with insurance issues, including obtaining prior authorizations, contact physicians or other health providers on possible therapeutic interchanges.
Maintains knowledge and facilitates third party insurance, including Prior Authorization process, Medication Formularies, Wellness programs, coupons, discounts, workers compensation and other sources of payments, member's enrollment and eligibility.
Provides consultation services regarding medication utilization and safety as appropriate for both prescription and over the counter medications and in guidelines of the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Consults with other health care providers, information resources and payers to optimize therapy and maximize safety. Provides cognitive services for disease management and wellness programs.
Programs include, but not limited to assessments, care planning, monitoring, including labs evaluation, adverse drug reactions and compliance.
Provides in-service training to other healthcare providers, staff and public when appropriate.
Maintains records and reporting in accordance to California State Board of Pharmacy prescription records, electronic records and faxes.
Utilizes cycle counting and other inventory management tools and strategies.
Responsible for annual physical inventory.
Assists pharmacy administration in Process Improvement and Quality initiatives and processes.
Reports any dispensing, medication errors or HIPAA violations in accordance to organization policies.
