How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare
Coordinated and provided individualized age‑appropriate care for patients.
Worked with patients undergoing psychiatric care and rehabilitation for functional deficits.
Conducted extensive psychological assessments, including personality and intelligence testing and neuropsychological testing.
Interpreted and reported assessment results accurately and in a timely manner.
Assessed patients’ need for services; treated accordingly within the parameters of the treatment plan; documented interventions and developed/maintained therapeutic relationships.
Served as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, coordinating patient treatment with physicians, care team members, referral sources, family, and others.
Collaborated with other therapists and team members and supported team building within the department and organization.
Enhanced professional growth by participating in educational activities to maintain competence in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Assisted with special projects.
Provided education and training for other professional disciplines, hospital staff, and community groups or individuals.
What We Require
Education:
Ph.D. in Psychology from an APA accredited graduate school required.
Experience:
Two years clinical experience, including one year of internship. The second year must be post‑graduate and supervised by a licensed Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:
Licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine as a clinical psychologist or by the Virginia Board of Psychology as a Psychologist (Clinical), or by the West Virginia Board of Examiners of Psychologists. De‑escalation training must be completed within four months of hire and maintained annually for inpatient work.
Other Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with physicians and other health‑care providers; commitment to continuing education.
