StaffMed Health Partners is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a full-time, permanent Emergency Medicine position in Southwest Louisiana. This role offers the chance to work in a busy community ED with strong physician support, flexible scheduling options, and competitive compensation.
Position Highlights
Annual volume: ~22,000 visits
14-bed Emergency Department
Average 50–60 patients per provider/day
Coverage model: 24/7 physician coverage (12-hour shifts) plus 12–15 hours/day APP coverage
Varied shifts with some double coverage for added support
Full-time schedule: 120 hours/month (W2 employment)
Shift options: 8, 10, or 12 hours

Requirements
Board Certified NP or PA with active Louisiana license and prescriptive authority (required)
1–2 years of Emergency Medicine or acute care experience preferred
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
