
Sr Quantitative Analyst

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Senior Quantitative Analyst – Data Quality is responsible for designing, developing, and operationalizing advanced quantitative analytics, data quality measurement frameworks, and enterprise reporting solutions to enable effective data quality execution and governance.
As a key member of the Data Quality team, this role partners directly with business units, Data Owners, Data Stewards, Custodians, and IT to define data quality rules, quantify data quality risk and impact, and deliver clear, actionable insights through Power BI dashboards and analytical reporting. The role combines Python‑based analytics and data visualization expertise with the ability to communicate complex data quality issues clearly and drive resolution across cross‑functional teams.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop and maintain quantitative data quality analytics and metrics.
Design and implement statistical analyses, data profiling techniques, and quantitative models to measure data quality, identify data anomalies, and quantify business, operational, and regulatory impacts, rather than valuation, pricing, or risk models.
Design and deliver Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions focused on data quality; Build and maintain leadership‑ready Power BI dashboards that provide transparent visibility into data quality health, issue trends, prioritization, and remediation progress.
Partner with business units to define and operationalize data quality rules; Define data quality rules, thresholds, and acceptance criteria and translate business requirements into measurable, enforceable data quality logic.
Conduct advanced analysis and problem solving to identify and resolve data quality issues; Diagnose root causes of data quality issues, validate fixes, and ensure sustainable data quality resolution.
Translate data quality insights into clear, actionable communication; Communicate data quality risks, issues, and requirements to technical and non‑technical audiences through visualizations, summaries, and presentations.
Collaborate across cross‑functional data governance and IT teams; Partner with IT, analytics teams, and data governance stakeholders to ensure aligned execution, scalable solutions, and continuous improvement of data quality processes and reporting.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship focused on data quality analytics; Mentor analysts on Power BI best practices, Python analytics, and data quality measurement standards.
JOB SCOPE
Reports to the Manager Grid Strategy & Analytics.
Works under minimal supervision, relying on knowledge, skills and judgment acquired through education and relevant experience to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in quantitative field.
4-7 years of relevant experience.
Thorough understanding of applied and financial mathematics concepts and techniques (including advanced statistical techniques).
Ability to use a broad range of development languages (e.g., C/C++, Python, Perl, Matlab, etc.), and databases query languages.
Ability to quickly master industry fundamental concepts including energy commodity markets, portfolio valuation, and system dynamics.
Self‑driven and able to work in (and lead) team sizes ranging from individual contribution to several members.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field.
Energy industry experience.
Prior experience in an operations research role.
In‑depth experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, MATLAB).
Strong Power BI skills, including data modeling, DAX, and development of executive‑level dashboards and reporting.
Demonstrated experience using Python for data analysis, automation, and advanced analytics.
Background in applied system dynamics theory.
Experience performing advanced quantitative analysis and developing and/or validating risk models to support senior managers in executing quantitative strategies.
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex data issues.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Experience working with business stakeholders to define analytical, reporting, or data quality requirements.
Strong communication skills to clearly convey insights, requirements, and recommendations to diverse technical and non‑technical audiences.
