The Technology Development Engineering Intern will gain experience in real world engineering by working directly with the South Portland Maine technology development team. This position reports directly to the Technology Development Manager and will be mentored and assisted by the rest of the TD team. The internship will run for 10 weeks in the summer, from June to August. Start and end dates are flexible based on the intern's academic year.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Characterize semiconductor devices using probe station and electrical parameter analyzer
Characterize semiconductor ESD protection devices using transmission line pulse (TLP) tester
Compile device measurements into standardized documentation for use by circuit designers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A rising college senior or above currently pursuing a B.S., M.S. or Ph. D in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, applied physics, or materials science.
Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and capable of semi-independent work
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Ability and willingness to work in a cleanroom semiconductor manufacturing environment
