FMS SATCOM PNT System Engineer

Overview
Are you looking to combine technical skills with strategic thinking to impact the space domain? As a systems engineer for the U.S. Space Force, you will shape the space security cooperation and security assistance mission by providing technical expertise for the integration of Satellite Communication (SATCOM) and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) programs into the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) enterprise and enabling export to international partners.

You will coordinate with key stakeholders to support the technology release and foreign disclosure (TRFD) process, ensure compliance with Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 16‑1, and deliver high‑quality written products and briefings to executive‑level leadership, including SES and GO, reporting programmatic milestones.

Responsibilities

Integrate SATCOM and PNT mission area programs of record into the FMS organization.

Coordinate the TRFD process and ensure compliance with AFPD 16‑1.

Develop and deliver written products and briefings to executive‑level leadership.

Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Provide technical support for exports to international partners.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience with space operations.

3+ years of experience in the mission area.

Knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and FMS policies, processes, and stakeholders.

Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and ability to communicate at the executive level.

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.

Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI clearance preferred).

Nice to Have

Experience with TRFD policy and processes.

Knowledge of the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration (SAF/SQ) and its role in security assistance and FMS, and relationships with key stakeholders.

Experience with Power Apps, including Power BI.

TS/SCI clearance.

Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Top Secret clearance is required.

Compensation
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). Compensation is determined by factors such as location, education, skills, experience, and contract requirements.
