DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES
All Points is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a Department of Defense mission at Pope AFB, NC. This is a contingent hire pending contract award and requires an active, current, and fully adjudicated U.S. Department of Defense Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and/or the ability to obtain special access. This position is 100% on-site at Pope AFB, NC with no remote or telework authorized.
The selected candidate will serve as a senior technical authority responsible for the architecture, integration, and optimization of mission-critical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) systems within complex laboratory and operational environments. This role supports advanced system integration, evaluation, and sustainment efforts across classified DoD environments, both CONUS and OCONUS.
Duties may include but are not limited to
Serve as a lead technical expert designing, implementing, and optimizing C2ISR hardware and software integration capabilities across complex laboratory environments.
Lead the architectural design, development, integration, and evaluation of mission-critical systems and subsystems.
Develop and maintain system requirements specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), validation strategies, and supporting technical documentation.
Architect and oversee advanced integration methodologies including service-oriented architectures, microservices, containerization, and virtualization.
Guide the implementation of automation and integration tools to ensure efficient hardware and software interoperability.
Provide expert recommendations supporting multi-tenant laboratory environments and scalable system deployments.
Lead system evaluation activities including performance testing, stress testing, and validation efforts.
Drive optimization of laboratory infrastructure, including implementation of software-defined networking (SDN) solutions.
Mentor junior and mid-level systems engineers in advanced integration techniques, configuration control, and evaluation methodologies.
Support disciplined engineering processes, configuration management, and test data management standards.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree with 8–10 years of relevant experience
Master’s degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience
PhD with 3–5 years of relevant experience
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Minimum experience as outlined by the education requirements above.
SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS
Extensive experience supporting complex DoD systems engineering and integration efforts REQUIRED
Strong background in system architecture, integration, and evaluation within classified environments REQUIRED
DoD 8140 IAM Level II–compliant certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CISM, CASP+ CE, SecurityX) REQUIRED
Windows and/or Linux system administration training or certification REQUIRED
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD approved IA baseline certification (ADP-III / IT-III) within six months of assignment REQUIRED
SECURITY CLEARANCE
US Citizenship required
Active, current, and fully adjudicated U.S. Department of Defense Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and/or special access required
