Job Summary
This Senior Financial Analyst role is in Facilities and Operations Services (FOS) Finance supporting Reedy Creek Energy Services (RCES). RCES is the WDW entity that operates the 8 different utilities on behalf of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD). The role is actively involved in assisting financial decision support for the CFTOD utility with respect to project funding, capital spending, billing, and specialized reporting. This position will also handle complex analysis, management reporting, provide pro forma support, and assist in developing/presenting executive level presentations.
The ideal candidate will proactively deliver the financial and business strategies and commitments by learning/knowing the business and be energized about the active and diverse client support. The ideal candidate should also drive efficiency efforts, have open lines of communication, and help the team strategically plan for the future.
What You Will Do
Model debt service projections for long-lived asset replacements and new service initiatives
Gather, analyze, and report status of capital project spend from both annual funding and long-term financed debt initiatives
Assist with billing initiatives which combine project spend and the complex annual labor contract
Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to Finance and Operations leadership
Own key aspects of the Long-Term Plan, AOP, Annual Rate Setting processes
Develop innovative solutions for decision-making support
Proactively answer and make recommendations regarding client questions
Ensure accuracy of all financial information included in planning processes and financial analysis
Develop a strong understanding of the business supported and the ability to proactively provide and analyze data before it’s requested and gather agreement with all partners on relevant issues
Support the Walt Disney Parks & Resorts finance processes to ensure the integrity of the accounting functionality, controls and processes related to all Finance and Finance-related systems
Required Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of related experience
Has a growth mindset / acts as an agent of change to support business, partners, and internal processes
Digitally literate; can efficiently leverage the existing capabilities of available tools. This includes data analytics and 3rd party tools. Role includes designing/building/rebuilding models to adapt with business
Demonstrated good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Excellent communication and presentation skills, e.g., ability to compose concise written descriptions of complex issues, supported by detailed analysis
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Accounting experience – reconciliations, accounting coding/general ledger, and robust knowledge/understanding of financial reporting
Financial planning and budgeting; understanding of the traditional finance cycle (5YP, annual operating plan, forecast, etc.)
Proven strong analytical skills, including understanding cause and effect dynamics within complex issues
Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
Proven ability to develop a keen understanding of the business, the processes required to support the business, and the development of relationships with various partners
Excellent partnering skills with shown ability to understand the unique aspect of the client they support and how financial choices impact their business
Preferred Qualifications
Utility experience – accounting for projects, billing, and rate setting
Ability to simplify complex issues and incorporate effective “storytelling” to engage and influence the audience
Ability to deliver presentations and communication to audiences of all levels persuasively, articulately and with full command of the topic
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
The hiring range for this position in Lake Buena Vista, Florida is $99,900.00 to $121,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
