**Job Title**Transcript Analyst I**Agency**Texas A&M University**Department**Office Of Admissions**Proposed Minimum Salary**$15.85 hourly**Job Location**College Station, Texas**Job Type**Staff**Job Description****What We Want****We are seeking a Transcript Analyst** who will be responsible for examining, evaluating, and entering student academic records to determine Admission eligibility, as well as assisting with other undergraduate processing and answering admissions-related inquiries from prospective students, parents, and the academic departments. Must be able to work extended hours during peak processing season.**Qualifications****Required Education and Experience:*** Associate degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience* Two years of transcript analysis or related experience.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree* Six months experience in college admissions, records, or departmental advising office.* Working knowledge of the college credit system preferred.**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** Must have good interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to understand, follow and give verbal and written instructions.* Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.* Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database applications.* Ability to organize and work effectively and prioritize objectives with a high level of discretion, independent judgment, and initiative.* Planning and organizational skills.**Responsibilities** **Processing*** Examine, evaluate, and enter student academic records to determine admission eligibility using the Document Imaging Workflow System (DIWS) and the student information system.* Prepares admissions related documents for review.* Assists with the validation function for all paper college transcripts as well as partners with a transfer transcript analyst to share responsibilities in peak season.**Customer Service*** Answers general office email, assists with walk-in traffic and telephone inquiries from prospective students, their parents, etc. regarding a variety of admissions-related issues.* Assist advisors/counselors with review of admissions applications.**Administrative*** Works cooperatively and jointly with Admissions Processing staff to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and provide quality customer service.**Special Projects*** Handles special projects as assigned by supervisor.**Who We Are****Welcome to the Texas A&M Office of Admissions - Processing!** From the moment of application to walking the stage at graduation and beyond, we’re here to support our Aggie family.
