274770US, NevadaThe SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International**THE JOB:**We are seeking a Staff Commercial Data Engineer to architect and elevate the Marketing and Revenue Management data platforms that power commercial decision-making across Gaming, Hospitality, Loyalty, and Marketing.This is a senior technical role responsible for defining the architectural direction of our Lakehouse ecosystem, ensuring reliability and governance standards, and mentoring engineering teams to build world-class data products. As the architectural owner of domain-wide data models and certified datasets, you will drive metric consistency, platform scalability, and business-aligned data solutions in close partnership with Data Science, Analytics, IT, and commercial leadership.**THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Serve as the architectural owner for Marketing and Revenue Management data models, metric definitions, and semantic consistency across commercial domains* Design and maintain certified, curated datasets aligned to business logic and executive reporting standards* Architect and optimize high-scale Lakehouse solutions for performance, governance, cost, and lineage* Define conventions for partitioning, Z-ordering, file compaction, cluster sizing, and workload orchestration* Build reusable ingestion, validation, and orchestration frameworks* Establish observability standards including freshness SLAs, anomaly detection, and schema drift monitoring* Implement automated quality gates, impact analysis, and self-healing workflows* Own performance tuning strategies across batch, streaming, and high-volume analytics workloads* Lead high-severity incident response and drive long-term remediation strategies* Mentor engineers and influence cross-functional platform modernization initiatives**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:*** 7+ years of prior relevant experience in

The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s incentive plan.Employees in this position are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plans, and time off plans.
