Seeking Project Manager for Commercial Construction
The Project Manager Position: Project Managers bid, plan, direct, or coordinate activities concerning the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. They participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation ensuring a safe, on-time, on-budget experience. A candidate to join our project management team will have the following experience, traits, and abilities:
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of TI construction project management experience
Attract and build strong working relationships with customers
Maintain and grow preferred client base
Bid multiple commercial tenant improvement projects
Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines
Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports
Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients
Direct and supervise construction superintendent or related workers
Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods
Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes or other regulations
Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans, using computer models
Must be able to read and understand construction plans and specifications
Negotiate contracts with external vendors
Experience with scheduling required and be able to produce progress reports and punch lists
Dedication to detail and paperwork administration for each account
Design and implement checklists for inspections, quality control, and client walk-throughs

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Attention to detail to ensure that all project requirements are met
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction project management
Knowledge of construction industry regulations and standards
Strong leadership skills to manage teams of contractors and subcontractors
Willing to continue education if no bachelor’s degree
