The Opportunity
Company is looking for a mechanically inclined Planned Maintenance Field Technician (Heavy Equipment or Automotive Mechanic) to join our Service team in
Longview, Texas . Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Technician will be assigned to a variety of machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.
Responsibilities
Diagnosing, repairing, and completing routine maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery
Maintaining effective and consistent communication with Service Dispatchers regarding ongoing Service jobs
Communicating a clear understanding of job scopes and repair requirements to customers
Collaborating with the Parts department to ensure required parts are ordered and prepared prior to visiting job sites
Maintaining proper documentation where needed, including work order forms and warranty paperwork
Reporting any safety incidents promptly and adhering to all safety policies
Required Skills & Qualifications
1 to 3 years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience in a related industry
Experience with hydraulics, and diagnosing and servicing electric engines, is a strong asset
Previous aerial platform and lift truck experience preferred
Strong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical concepts
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
High school diploma
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites in the region is required

The base pay range for this role is: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
