About the Opportunity
We are expanding Emergency Medicine services at
Sherman Medical Center (SMC)
in Sherman, Texas, and are seeking Board Certified / Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians for full‑time and part‑time roles. You will practice in a busy, high‑acuity, modern ED that emphasizes clinical excellence, physician autonomy, and long‑term partnership potential.
Key ER / Hospital features
Designated Level III Trauma Center
24 patient care rooms plus 2 dedicated trauma rooms and 4 fast‑track treatment areas
24/7 availability of radiology diagnostics (CT, X‑ray, ultrasound)
SMC is also a
Certified Primary Stroke Center , enabling rapid stroke activation protocols and acute neurologic support
Accredited trauma and stroke status, and role as a regional acute care center
Position Highlights
Highly competitive base rate (e.g.
$280/hour )
20,000 Annual Volume, 12 Hour Physician shifts with APP support
Strong support from advanced practice providers (APPs), nursing, and ancillary staff
24/7 radiology, CT, ultrasound support
Clinical autonomy, quality standards, and physician governance
Compensation & Benefits
Highly competitive base rate (e.g.

Malpractice coverage provided

Qualifications
MD or DO, ABEM / AOBEM Board Certified or Board Eligible
Eligible for a full Texas medical license

Experience in trauma / high‑acuity settings preferred
