First Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K) – North Charleston, South Carolina
Lead frontline manufacturing teams responsible for building one of the most sophisticated aircraft ever designed, shaping culture, developing talent, and driving performance across safety, quality, and delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead and inspire frontline manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, high-performance environment

Execute daily production plans that bring the 787 Dreamliner to life

Build strong partnerships with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to solve complex challenges

Develop and coach teammates to unlock their full potential and build future leaders

Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles and operational excellence tools

Foster a culture grounded in safety, quality, accountability, and pride in craftsmanship

Help position Boeing South Carolina for continued growth, innovation, and production rate increases

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or equivalent military experience

3+ years of experience in a formal or informal leadership role

Ability to lead teams and execute within a structured production environment

Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles

Willingness and ability to work a variable shift based on operational needs

Preferred Qualifications

Aerospace manufacturing experience, particularly in Final Assembly, Structures, Interiors, or Flight Test

Experience leading hourly employees in a production environment

Proven track record of implementing Lean or continuous improvement initiatives

Bachelor’s degree or higher

FAA A&P Certification

Shift
Variable shift. You will be assigned a shift at the time of hire based on business needs and will remain on that shift until re‑evaluation. Shifts assigned for training may differ from your permanent work shift.

Pay is based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $111,350 - $150,650
