As a Reentry Systems Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer you will…
Simulate mission level engagement scenarios using tools such as AFSIM
Model emerging threats using the latest technologies and models available
Develop and leverage Multidisciplinary Design Analysis and Optimization tools to support vehicle design efforts
Develop and enhance models and simulations to enable next generation strategic systems to survive hostile environments
Help optimize software to take full advantage of modern hardware
Develop and leverage agentic AI workflows
Own and maintain various software that model complex flight systems
You will produce analyses and presentations to communicate findings to team members, external organization partners, and government sponsors
Qualifications
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you…
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field
Have 5+ years of relevant experience
Have experience working with or developing modeling and simulation tools using numerical methods
Have experience with C/C++, Python, MATLAB, and/or other high performance scientific languages
Are proficient in standard software engineering practices including version control (e.g. git)
Are able to obtain a Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

Have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field
Have experience with Multidisciplinary Design Analysis and Optimization tools
Have experience with using optimal control software for trajectory analysis
Have experience with engagement modeling software such as AFSIM, including writing plugins and extensions
Have some experience with threat and/or engagement scenario modeling and simulation
Have experience with HPC or GPU programming
Have experience developing agentic AI workflows
Have experience binding lower level languages (C/C++) to higher level languages (MATLAB/Python)
Hold an active Secret or higher level clearance
