What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a highly motivated Engineering and Operations Systems Engineer to work closely with a multidisciplinary staff consisting of software engineers, electronic engineers, and microwave engineers. In this role, you will support Sandia’s Electronic Warfare initiatives, working with managers, project leads, and customers to plan, develop, test, and deploy EW systems. You may be asked to support development backlogs, plan releases, coordinate strategic initiatives, and integrate tasks across the team to meet project deliverables.
Employ an agile engineering approach to integrate and test Electronic Warfare (EW) systems.
Represent EW systems with customer and operational organizations.
Track and document development progress for EW system development.
Coordinate with project leads and technical staff for development, testing, and deployment of EW systems.
Integrate and coordinate with external stakeholders for the testing and operation of EW systems.
Lead a multidisciplinary team in the development and deployment of EW test assets, deployment systems, and validation and verification of RF systems.
*You must be able to work onsite. Relocation will be provided for those who qualify.
Salary Range: $102,400 – $199,700 (actual salary based on experience and qualifications).
Qualifications We Require
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Military Operations, or a related field, plus five years of relevant experience.
Experience in government projects and/or military operations.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Security Clearance and an SCI clearance (which may require a polygraph test).
Qualifications We Desire
Master’s Degree in Project Management, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Five years of leadership, technical project management or system engineering activities in traditional or agile approaches.
Experience on government projects and/or military operations, and with the IC, DoD, or Special Operations Community.
Ability to brief and coordinate customers and stakeholders, provide recommendations for planning, procedures, and key metrics, and document key deliverables.
Experience with Electronic Warfare systems, tactical aircraft systems, the Intelligence Community, Special Operations Community.
Experience leading software teams and associated technologies.
Active DOE Q or DoD TS Security Clearance.
Security Clearance
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q‑level security clearance and SCI access, requiring U.S. citizenship. SCI access may also require a polygraph examination.
