Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Billing Coordinator to join our team in Columbus, OH. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment and takes pride in accuracy, follow-through, and financial integrity.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate billing, timely payment processing, and effective communication with insurance providers and patients.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Collections
Log payments from insurance companies and patients, maintaining accurate financial records
Submit insurance claims and process billing data efficiently
Verify insurance benefits for new and existing clients
Follow up on delinquent payments and resolve denial instances
File appeals as needed to ensure proper reimbursement
Update billing addresses and patient contact information
Administrative Support
Assist with faxing, answering calls, emails, and text communications
Support general office functions related to billing and patient accounts
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
Associate’s Degree in Medical Billing, Coding, or a related field
Proficiency with:
Google Suite
Microsoft Excel and Word
CMS-1500 claim forms
Availity platform
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
