AWC is hiring a Materials Supervisor for our Baltimore Fairfield location in the Curtis Bay area of Baltimore MD. This is a salaried position with a range of $58,000 to 62,000 per year that is paid weekly plus Bonus eligible. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market considerations.

Summary of Position
This position supervises, coordinates and expedites the flow of materials and parts in the Materials Department and directs the associates in that department. It also interacts with AWC management, vendors, and customers, to ensure all inventory counts and part levels are accurate and appropriate.

Essential Functions, Duties & Tasks

Supervises, coordinates and expedites the flow of materials and parts

Oversees the inventory control process for all incoming, outgoing, and existing materials using VIPS and other related spreadsheets

Support the monitoring of daily production activity

Ensures that all customer and AWC policies, processes and procedures are followed.

Responsible for adhering to the safety program in order to provide a safe, clean work place for all personnel within the regulations of local, state and OSHA standards.

Responsible for holding associates accountable to all company policies

Responsible for coaching, mentoring and issuing disciplinary reprimands as necessary to direct reports.

Generates daily status report detailing inventory deficiencies

Reviews information with the Operations Manager and Terminal Manager of inventory overages or shortages

Maintains and logs all warranty and internal claims on spreadsheets

Ensures our customer receives all necessary documentation in a manner requested by the customer

Create Bill of Ladings for all shipments

Dispense materials to the Accessory associates

Performs monthly, weekly, and daily physical inventory of all parts

Performs annual cycle counting

Communicate parts challenges to the Terminal Manager

Assist with periodic inspections of the forklift condition and operation

Develops work schedules and assigns work to subordinates

Reviews and recommends inventory level changes to meet production demands

Coordinates all damaged goods returns as necessary

Trains new associates and temporary workers in the materials department, documenting the same

React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

Complete all other duties assigned by the management

Ability to communicate deficiencies not in line with quality standards to appropriate personnel in a diplomatic and assertive manner

Ability to produce accurate information in an organized and efficient manner

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to adhere to strict installation standards without variance

Ability to keep confidential any work documents seen or conversations heard during performance of job duties

Good vision for inspection

Ability to pay extreme attention to detail

Must have a positive attitude and ability to work in a team-orientated culture with strong communication skills

Ability to have and maintain a valid driver's license

Must be computer literate

Must treat all individuals with respect and dignity

Must be able to resolve conflict with the ability to build relationships

Must be able to use effective coaching and mentoring skills

Must be customer-focused, quality and results orientated and have solid decision-making abilities with strong organizational skills

Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

Various duties as assigned or required to help the facility function as a team environment

Read and understand VIN numbers, repair orders, work orders, and other documents

Understand and enforce AWC policies and Company safety policies

Communicate problems to Terminal Manager

Education, Experience & Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 1-year supervisory and or 2 years work within the parts field experience, preferably in logistics

Preferred Requirements

Manufacturing floor experience

College degree and/or equivalent of five year's work experience in the parts and inventory field
