Job Description
The Summer College Internship Program is a 10‑week paid internship experience that provides undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to attend development workshops, network, and be part of our company. Interns work on meaningful projects, are mentored under their respective managers, and continue to develop throughout the entire summer. Interns can attend development workshops focused on key business concepts. Internship tracks include Business Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and other non‑technical and/or technical based degree programs.

Program Details:

Paid 10‑week summer internship from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week).

Interns may reside in either a technical or non‑technical area.

Development events are provided to help with the transition from school to the corporate environment.

Housing is not provided as part of the program.

Essential Accountabilities

Specific duties will vary with assignment; specific divisional callouts are listed below.

Assist in creating courses for the department utilizing learning and development tools.

Aid in creation of content and project plans.

Work with a mentor and support key strategic projects.

Take responsibility for work assignments and possible responsibilities that vary according to business need and departmental opportunities, in addition to student qualifications.

Perform functions that are non‑technical and/or technical in nature and cover a broad range of business‑related projects.

Create and deliver a presentation at the completion of the internship.

Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and aligning with the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.

Maintain a high regard for member privacy in accordance with corporate privacy policies and procedures.

Ensure regular and reliable attendance.

Perform other functions as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

Desired majors include Graphic Design, Instructional Design, Communications or similar degree programs.

Experience in graphic design or creating learning content for others is preferred but not required.

High School diploma with proof of continuous college enrollment (full‑time undergraduate or graduate degree program).

Good academic standing.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate to technical and non‑technical audiences and interface with staff at all levels.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment and deliver high‑quality work product.

Ability to work well in a team, establishing good working relationships with peers.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with strong attention to detail.

Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Proactive approach to work; creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks.

Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning.

Self‑motivated and able to work independently, as well as on inter‑departmental teams.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation, viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.

Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training as needed.

Compensation Range

Level I – Minimum $18.00 – Maximum $20.00

Level II – Minimum $21.00 – Maximum $23.00

The salary range indicated represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for the position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors such as budget, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the position’s minimum qualifications, as well as internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.

Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, a retirement plan, a wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
