Senior M365 Engineer (GCCH Experience, Collaboration Technologies, and MS Purview Expertise)

Salary Range: $100,172.00 – $143,000.00

Responsibilities
Architect and Design Solution:
Translate requirements and convert legacy on‑prem Microsoft systems to modern M365 cloud solutions in GCCH.
Educate a broad audience of end users from each HII division on use of integrated solutions in Copilot M365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive in a GCCH environment.
Work with the engineering team to design, implement, and optimize end‑to‑end business process solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform—including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, and Dataverse.
Integrate and manage data across Dataverse, SharePoint Online, and additional back‑end systems while architecting scalable solutions, developing secure and efficient data models, and ensuring seamless interoperability within the broader Power Platform and enterprise ecosystem.
Data Governance and Compliance:
Ensure all solutions comply with federal security standards, including FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC, and DISA STIG.
Develop and manage data governance frameworks using Microsoft Purview to ensure compliance with government regulations and organizational policies.
Implement and maintain security and compliance protocols, including data classification, retention policies, eDiscovery, and data loss prevention strategies in MS Purview.
Set standards and coach divisional developers and citizen developers on Copilot and Power Platform best practices.
Collaboration Enhancements:
Innovate and implement strategies to improve collaboration through M365 tools while maintaining strict compliance and governance standards.
Manage migrations to GCCH and oversee upgrades of M365 services, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
Contribute to the Enterprise Collaboration Services team strategy and develop junior level engineers.
Conduct training and workshops on Power Platform tools, Dataverse, and AI‑powered automation.
Contribute to M365 GCCH tenant business to business (B2B) cross‑cloud connections.
Collaborate with compliance officers, IT leadership, and government agencies to align collaboration and governance solutions with business and regulatory requirements.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Stabilize and sustain newly adopted cloud solutions for a user base transitioning from a former cloud environment and legacy on‑prem solutions.
Provide Tier 3 support for advanced M365 and MS Purview‑related issues and resolve escalated incidents effectively to meet immediate needs of the business.
Maintain thorough documentation for M365, MS Purview configurations, compliance frameworks, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
US Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in related field; 3 years with a Master's in related field; 0 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent with 9 years relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 engineering.
3+ years working in GCCH environments with compliance‑focused responsibilities.
Preferred Technical Expertise
Extensive knowledge of M365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform, and M365 Copilot).
Hands‑on experience with MS Purview, including data classification, DLP, eDiscovery, and compliance policies.
In‑depth knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, Dataverse) and its integration with compliance workflows.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for compliance automation and M365 administration.
Proficiency in Office Apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of GCCH‑specific compliance and security protocols.
Familiarity with hybrid environments and on‑premises/cloud system integrations.
Experience working in highly regulated industries or government organizations.
Working knowledge of Entra cloud workloads, Okta, and Zscaler integration (a plus).
